Course Structure

The program of study leading to the Master of International Environment and Climate Change Law shall offer the subjects as given below in the academic year (Semester I & II).

Entry Qualifications

No candidate shall be eligible for admission to the program leading to the LL.M. in IECCL Degree, unless she/he has the following requirements:

1.     A Bachelor’s degree in Law recognized by the University Grants Commission

or

2.     A Bachelor’s degree in any subject area including 30 credits in the relevant subject area recognized by the University Grants Commission

or

3.     A Bachelor’s degree in any subject area recognized by the University Grants Commission with prior learning equivalent to 30 credits in the relevant subject area/work experience in the relevant area at the Executive Level of not less than three (03) years

or

4.     An Attorney-at-Law/Barrister/Solicitor/Advocate

or

5.     Any other qualification accepted by the University of Colombo

AND

Good knowledge of English Language and satisfactory performance at the selection interview.
